UGENYA MP Dave Ochieng has distributed 60 tonnes of certified hybrid maize seeds to more than 30,000 farmers in the constituency. Ochieng said he partnered with friends and other well-wishers to bolster food production and end the perennial food insecurity in the region. He said farmers should adopt modern farming technology, which involves improved planting seeds and other farm inputs. Ochieng was addressing farmers at Nyaharwa and Ndenga villages in West Ugenya location during a two-day distribution exercise.
