MORE than 60 homesteads and several schools in Nyalenda A and B wards, Kisumu county have been affected by floods following heavy rains. The families living along Auji and Nyamasaria rivers were left homeless after the rivers burst their banks. Five houses in the two wards collapsed on Monday night after being marooned by floods. In Dago area, Nyalenda A ward, six sheep were swept away by raging waters. Learning has been disrupted in most schools after classrooms were flooded.
