The High Court in Kisumu will on Wednesday rule on whether the governor's votes cast in Siaya should be scrutinised. Justice Aggrey Muchelule, who is hearing a petition challenging the election of Rasanga Amoth, will make the ruling in a petition filed by William Oduol who lost to Amoth in the last general election. Oduol's lawyers Richard Kwach and Dismas Wakla have asked the court to order for a scrutiny of the votes cast or recounted due to alleged discrepancies and alterations in forms 35. Wakla told Muchelule that there were 29 cases of alterations on forms 35 in Ugenya and 33 in Gem.
