THE Registrar of political parties Lucy Ndung’u has told MPs seeking new parties to formally resign. Ndung’u said her office is yet to receive applications from MPs or public officers seeking formation of a new party. She said MPs who want to defect from parties which sponsored them to Parliament must make a formal application. “This will lead to their seats being declared vacant,” Ndung’u said on the phone yesterday.
