MORE than 18,000 students qualified to join the Kenya Medical Training College annually fail to get admissions because of inadequate facilities and staff at the institutions. KMTC director Olang’o Onudi yesterday said 25,000 students qualify for entries at the college annually but only 7,000 are selected to join the 38 medical institutions. He said KMTCs face a shortage of 2,000 staff with academic personnel being the most affected.
