The Kisii government in partnership with a foreign investor will build a Sh2.4 billion sugar factory in South Mugirango constituency. Trade executive Moiro Omari said the investor will embark on the project in a few months. Speaking at Nduru Boys High School during a stakeholders meeting yesterday, Omari said the factory will create 600 jobs. “The good news to many jobless youth is that when the factory is complete, they will be the first ones to be considered for employment,” Omari said.
