FIVE ambulances unveiled by the Nyamira county government last month are yet to be utilised. The ambulances are parked at the Nyamira County Hospital in Nyamira town. They are occasionally driven to public functions to be showcased as one of the key projects initiated by the county government. County director for medical services Jack Magara yesterday said the ambulances will be dispatched to subcounties once staff are trained to use them. “Staff to operate them are undergoing training,” he said on the phone.
