THE newly refurbished Kakamega municipal market will soon be handed over to the county authorities. Finance executive Paul Otsola said the county government has taken over the project. Speaking to the Star in his office yesterday, Otsola said the Transition Authority has transferred the market to the county government. “We wrote to the authority asking to be allowed to take over the market. They accepted to transfer it to us and we are negotiating with the contractor on the payment so that the market can be used,” Otsola said.
