Security in Lake Victoria to be tighter

HOMA BAY county commissioner Samuel Otieno has assured the Kenyan residents staying on islands in Lake Victoria of security beef-up. Speaking during Madaraka day celebrations at Homa Bay stadium, Otieno told Remba, Ringiti and Takawiri islands residents the government will deploying more security officers in the area soon. “We know that Remba, Ringiti, Takawiri and Mfangano are in Kenya. That one should be clear because we don’t want you to face problems like those faced by Kenyans in Migingo,” the commissioner said.
