The Finland government has extended its projects in Busia county by two years. Finnish Ambassador Sofie From-Emmesberger said the projects, which were to end in June 2016, have been extended to June 2018. Emmesberger paid a courtesy call on Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong yesterday and opened the 22.5 kilometre Nangina- Okados-Mundere road. The road is one of the two complete batch one roads under rehabilitation funded by the Programme for Agriculture and Livelihoods in Western Communities and the government of Kenya at Sh141 million.
