Butula MP wants CDF increased to 5%

Butula MP Michael Onyura has said he will introduce a bill in the National Assembly to increase the annual CDF allocation from 2.5 per cent to five per cent of the total revenue. Onyura said should the bill pass, the CDF allocations will be split among the wards within the constituencies. “This will ensure money is channelled to the grassroots through the CDF framework for development and for the betterment of livelihoods among the citizens,” he said.
