KISII county assembly speaker Kerosi Ondieki on Wednesday survived an impeachment motion. Boochi Borabu ward representative Samuel Onuko tabled the motion, accusing Ondieki of illegally employing an excess of 273 employees against the advertised 72 positions. “344 people were employed against the advertised 72 positions, but the speaker, who is the county assembly board chairman, has failed to tell this assembly how the extra were hired,” Onuko said.
