THE Nyamira county assembly on Tuesday stopped the recruitment of subcounty and ward administrators. The MCAs said the hiring was riddled with irregularities, nepotism, political interference and favouritism. They passed a motion moved by majority leader James Mating’a to stop the hiring. A committee of 10 MCAs was formed to probe the conduct of the county Public Service Board and table a report in 10 days. “I moved this motion due to a public outcry over the flawed recruitment.
