ODM nominee for Homa Bay senator Moses Kajwang’ got a boost on Tuesday when Governor Cyprian Awiti supported his candidature. Awiti said before the ODM nominations he supported Caroli Omondi but after deep consultations with party leader Raila Odinga, he was convinced to support the party's preferred candidate. “My stand changed when Raila convinced me former Senator Otieno Kajwang’ was a great ODM loyalist and it is in his honour that Moses should take over,” he said.
