HUNDREDS of passengers were yesterday stranded along Kisumu-Ahero route following a crackdown by traffic police. The inspection roadblock was mounted at Ahero-Awasi-Kisii junction. Kisumu bound passengers treked some five kilometres to board vehicles at Ahero market. Traffic boss Nahason Amwai said over 40 public service and private vehicles were impounded for violation of the laws. He said the drivers of the impounded vehicles were fined instantly.
