More than 1,000 residents in Rongo district have benefitted from a free medical treatment organised by medics from America and members of First Baptist Church in Kenya. Under the Christian Fellowship Programme the one day camp at Rongo Primary School was an extension of a similar exercise carried out in Homa Bay and Kisumu counties. “We organised the camp to help residents who can’t afford expensive and quality drugs and healthcare in public and private hospitals due to poverty,” Wycliff Ouma, a Baptist pastor said.
