No tension in Chemelil, says security boss

KISUMU deputy county commissioner Solomon Abwaku has dismissed reports of tension in Chemelil over land. Abwaku yesterday said the reports are unfounded and could fuel violence between the neighbouring communities. He said 50 squatters from Kibigori location invaded retired judge Effie Owuor's land on Wednesday evening. “It is true the land was invaded by some squatters but there are no clashes in the area,” Abwaku said.
