'Some beliefs prevent child immunisation'

RETROGRESSIVE cultural adherence and old religious beliefs are to blame for the low response by parents towards child health, an official has said. Bondo health promotion, advocacy and communication officer Walter Ongoro said some religious settings are against medical interventions and are restricting children from being immunised. He said they have had challenges dealing with members of such churches.
