SIX people were killed and 14 others injured after a lorry carrying sand rolled at Kadongo- Mawego road in Oyugis,Homa Bay County yesterday morning. The 7 am incident occurred when the lorry with 30 passengers veered off the road due to the ongoing heavy down pour killing the six instantly. Karachuonyo Police boss Patricia Nasio said those who perished included four ladies and two men. She said the lorry was moving up hill and due to slippery of the road due to ongoing rainfall and the weight of the sand it veered off the road before rolling severally.
