FOUR Kenya Defence Forces soldiers on a UN rescue mission in South Sudan were injured on Sunday in a road accident near Malaba. Charles Koskei, Edward Wafula, Jessy Muchiri and Raymond Mnyanja are among the Kenyan contingent in South Sudan who were seconded to assist the UN to evacuate Kenyans following clashes between rebels and government soldiers. The Kenyan soldiers had hired a private vehicle from Malaba town to Bungoma at 7.30pm when it rolled following a tire burst at Koteko, 10km from the Malaba border.
