Members of the county assembly in Bungoma have alleged a plot by Governor Kenneth Lusaka to have bursary funds for the needy students disbursed by his office. Speaking to the Star yesterday, 45 elected ward representatives led by majority leader Majimbo Okumu accused Lusaka of shortchanging them in a policy that had been approved by the assembly. Majimbo said the county assembly had passed that the Sh4 million bursary fund for each ward be disbursed through the ward accounts.
