THE Kenya National Union of Teachers wants the government to compensate families of 15 teachers and students who died in a road accident in Kisii two weeks ago. Knut national chairman Wilson Sossion said the teachers died while on duty and should be compensated. “We as a union, we have always recommended a workman’s compensation scheme for teachers to cater for them in case they lose their lives or get injured in the line of duty,” Sossion said.
