Free tips for Tabaka carvers

A trade officer has asked soapstone carvers in Tabaka, Kisii county to educate their children from the proceeds of their work. Naftal Oweru, who is the acting chief officer in the Ministry of Trade discouraged the men from excessive drinking. Speaking at Tabaka during a stakeholders meeting, Oweru said many people in the area live under abject poverty because of poor spending habits. He urged men to support their wives who have ventured into the business. Oweru told the carvers to diversify their products to earn good money.
