The Bungoma county government will employ more than 20,000 teachers to serve in all public pre-primary schools. Speaking at the KIE offices during the launch of the exercise on Tuesday, Governor Kenneth Lusaka said his administration is keen to ensure school going children receive a firm foundation in education. “This is a milestone towards improving our education standards especially at a time when our KCPE pupils in last year exams performed dismally,” he said.
