STUDENTS in technical and vocational institutions have been asked to take loans from the Higher Education Loans Board. The Head of Helb operations Victor Lomaria said there is low uptake of loans among students in technical institutions. He was speaking on Sunday during the Kenya Association of Technical Training Institution workshop at Kisumu Polytechnic. Lomaria urged continuing students and those joining to take advantage of that fund to enhance their education. He said Helb has set aside Sh400 million.
