NYANZA provincial police boss Joseph ole Tito was forced to leave the venue of a peace meeting after things turned chaotic. The Thursday meeting in Oyugis was convened by security chiefs to address rising insecurity. However, the crowd turned against the officers and accused them of abetting crime. Wananchi started hurling stones at Tito accusing the police of protecting criminals. Three suspects have been killed in the area recently.
