SECURITY officers at the Busia GK Prison have launched a crackdown to re-arrest a prisoner who escaped on Thursday while working at the prison farm. Prison head Jonathan Mwavita said the prisoner, who has not been named, jumped over a perimeter fence. He said attempts by the warders to track down and arrest the escapee failed to bear fruit.
