A former Uganda State House head cook is appealing to the Kenyan government to help him get his terminal dues, 28 years after he left Uganda. Speaking to the press in Bondo yesterday, Otonde Odera, 78, from Rambugu village in Rarieda, Siaya, said efforts to have his former employers pay him terminal dues have been unsuccessful. He said he was sent on compulsory leave in 1986 following the ouster of President Milton Obote by incumbent President Yoweri Museveni. Odera said he served as the head cook from 1962 to 1986.
