190,000 Siaya kids to receive polio jab

THE Ministry of Health is conducting a polio immunisation campaign in the entire county in a bid to rid the area of the deadly disease. County health promotion officer Jacob Chieng’ said the campaign, which will involve free administration of polio vaccine targets more than 190,000 children below five years. He was speaking during the launch of the five-day immunisation exercise in his office in Siaya town on Sunday . Chieng said the campaign is the second this year after the first one in January.
