POLICE in Kuria East district have found 15 cattle stolen by rustlers from Tanzania. Residents confronted the rustlers on Wednesday morning as they drove the animals to Mabera market. Area police boss Gladys Ogonda said officers started following the rustlers after they were driven away by residents. Ogonda said the suspects were trailed to Makararangwe where a gunfight, which lasted for four hours, ensued. The rustlers fled leaving behind 13 cows. “The suspects ran and left behind the animals, which were taken to Kegonga police station for the owners to identify them,” she said. Police later...
