The Busia government yesterday launched the Sh100 million Early Childhood Development and Education classrooms project. Finance executive Allan Omachar and his Education counterpart Joel Barua gave the go-ahead for 29 contractors for phase one of the project, in which 33 classrooms out of planned 105 will be built. Speaking in Busia town after the signing of the contracts, Omachar said the negotiation committee scaled down the cost of each classroom to Sh950,000.
