A 14-year-old girl at Tigoi Girls Secondary in Vihiga county is appealing to well-wishers to assist her pay school fees. Edwina Mango says she was out of school for the whole of last term. “My ailing mother Loise Okello could only pay Sh5,000 out of the Sh32,000 school fees so I was sent home,” she said. Speaking at the Star offices in Kisumu town yesterday, Mango said she scored 333 marks in the 2013 KCPE exam. She said her father is a hawker and cannot afford the fees.
