Lugari residents to plant one million seedlings

LUGARI subcounty residents in Kakamega county have been urged to embark on reforestation to combat the effects of climate change. Lugari subcounty zonal forest manager Stanley Mwangi said it is incumbent upon all to ensure sound environmental conservation for a better future. "It is upon all of us to ensure that we conserve the environment in our small ways to help the government realise its goal of achieving 10 per cent of forest cover as recommended internationally,” he said.
