A 38-year-old suspected gangster, who has been involved in a spate of robberies and killings in Rarieda subounty, has been killed by a mob. George Otieno, who has been on the run, is said to be a member of a well-connected criminal gang that has been terrorising and killing locals. He was cornered by the public before they lynched him on Tuesday night. Otieno and his accomplice George Owiti Nyambok, 39, who was also lynched by a mob in Nyagoko village a week ago, allegedly attacked and killed Jacinta Awiti Obama, 50, in her house.
