A total of 674,000 free mosquito nets have been distributed to 269,600 households aimed at reducing malaria infestation in Kisumu county. Health director Ojwang Lusi said the programme will enable two people in every family to sleep under treated nets, as required by the county government. Speaking yesterday in Kisumu at his office, Ojwang directed health enforcement officers to make follow-ups on the appropriate use of the nets.
