THE Forestry department has stopped the Kakamega government from rehabilitating Muliro Gardens. County ecosystem conservationist Martin Mumati directed Social Services executive Jamin Shitsukane to appear before him on Wednesday. “We received reports that some works were going on and when we came, we found 22 bamboos had been cut down illegally,” he said Mumati said an environmental impact assessment has not been conducted.
