EDUCATION Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi has been urged to appoint the new Kenya National Examinations Council CEO. Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Kisumu county chairman Zablon Awange said the new boss should be in office before national examinations start. He said for the examinations to be a success, the government must ensure proper planning. Speaking to the Star on the phone, Awange said it has taken too long to appoint the CEO. He said there are many qualified individuals who can fill the position. Awange said the CEO would work towards stopping cheating in examinations.
