KAKAMEGA Deputy Governor Philip Kutima is on the spot after it emerged he approved the payment of close to Sh10 million to a Nairobi law firm. Documents seen by the Star show Kutima paid Sh4,988,000 to Marende and Nyaundi Advocates in the first phase of the county land and boundary audit on December 6, 2013. He also approved Sh591,600 to the same firm for representing the county government in a defamation case against Citizen TV the same date.
