PARENTS in Kisumu county have been advised to take their children for the Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision to help fight HIV infections. Speaking in Ahero town yesterday, Nyando District Rapid Result Initiative coordinator Norman Ochieng said male circumcision reduces chances of HIV infection by about 60 per cent. He said the VMMC services are free in public health facilities in the county. Ochieng said circumcision also reduces cancer of the cervix. He asked women to encourage their partners to embrace it.
