Agriculture policy makers have been asked to address post-harvest issues rather that investing more on production. Agricultural researchers from Kari and International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre said there should be more interventions on post-harvest handling. Speaking in Homa Bay county during the survey on the use of the newly introduced Metal Silo technology on Saturday, Effective Grain Storage for Sustainable Livelihoods of African Farmers project leader Tadele Tefera asked the government to invest and train farmers on post-harvest procedures.
