PARENTS in Nyanza have asked the government to vet primary school teachers to improve quality of education. Nyanza Parents Association chairman Jackson Ogweno said the government should make the vetting mandatory for government employees. Ogweno was responding to the findings of a research which showed that most primary school teachers in public schools are not proficient. It was conducted by the African Population and health Research Centre between January and March 2012.
