The Anglican Church of Kenya members in Kisii and Nyamira counties have demanded for their own diocese. The worshippers demonstrated on Saturday at Marara in Nyamira to “send their message to Archbishop Eliud Wabukhala”. Led by David Nyang’au, a Synod member at the diocese, they appealed to Wabukhala to move them from the South Nyanza diocese. They accused the diocese Bishop Kenneth Ochiel of reneging on an agreement made on November 11, 2011 to form Kisii diocese last year.
