Sh200 million ultramodern TB laboratory put up in Kisumu

THE Kenya Medical Research Institute and Centre for Disease Control has put up an ultra modern Sh200 million Tuberculosis laboratory in Kisumu town. The facility is the first of its kind to be awarded International ISO certification in the country. The laboratory received international accreditation, ISO 15 189 in handling TB procedures on Tuesday. Kemri director Solomon Mpoke said the laboratory will handle TB management and diagnosis.
