Sh20m shops ruined by fire

KURIA A fire on Friday morning destroyed goods and property worth more than Sh20million at Mabera centre. It is said to have been caused by an electrical fault at a bookshop. John Magaiwa, a local politician said the fire destroyed his two shops and other property. Traders have called on the Migori government to buy firefighting equipment as there is none. Police boss Paul Kiogora said the fire gutted several shops.
