Mob attacks man over aunt’s death

A man has been admitted to the Migori District Hospital following an attack by a mob over the death of his aunt. Cyrus Onono, 22, was rescued by the police after a mob trailed him to Narok county on allegations he killed his aunt Rose Boremo, 26. Residents said Onono differed with Boremo over a tree to be felled for charcoal burning. A resident, Joshua Opiyo, said during the fight Onono cut Boremo with a machete. “He cut her on the back of her neck with a sharp panga and she died instantly. He was later trailed to Narok county where he escaped to,” he said.
