A District Officer has committed suicide inside her office. Usigu DO Simon Mokua said Dorine Ogutu’s body was found in the morning hanging on the window with a rope on her neck. Mokua said Ogutu had been locked up at the office the previous evening after she was arrested and detained at Usigu AP camp for allegedly swindling 110,000 from an M-pesa agent at Usigu trading centre. The DO told journalists at Bondo police station that the deceased had earlier been arrested pending investigations into the matter.
