A former Homa Bay senator aspirant Hillary Alila has urged ODM leaders to exercise democracy if they want to clinch the country’s top leadership in 2017. Speaking to the Star yesterday, Alila said lack of democracy, poor party elections and lack of transparency during party nominations have led to the failure of the party to win presidential elections. “There are some individuals who surround our party leader Raila Odinga and do not tell him the truth. This has cost us the top leadership,” Alila said. He decamped to PDP from ODM last year.
