THE Migori county assembly has passed a motion to stop the increase of taxes, rates and levies. The motion was moved by minority leader Charles Nyangi and endorsed by a majority of MCAs on Wednesday. Nyangi said the motion sought to uphold the taxes charged by the defunct Migori County Council. “County executive for finance and trade have been reluctant to address the issue raised by residents,” he said.
