Herbalists in Migori county want traditional medicine prescribed in public hospitals. They said Kenyans use herbal medicine to treat various diseases. They were speaking during a forum of traditional herbalists, which brought more than 50 traditional medicine dispensers at Awendo hotel on Wednesday. The forum was organised by Okago Herbalists Association, which is championing the use of herbal medicine in the country. Wellington Obadha, chairman of the association said use of the medicine requires serious vetting by the Pharmacists and Poisons Board.
