KISUMU MCAs have told off senators and MPs over plans to reduce the powers of governors. They said they will launch campaigns and collect signatures to have them recalled. Majority leader Samuel Ong’ow said the plan to slash governors’ powers is uncalled for and ill-intentioned. He said the move is not meant to discipline individual governors but a ploy to kill devolution. Ong’ow said instead of condemning all governors, the senators and MPs should go for individuals. He said it is witch-hunting not accountability.
